If you dont know what The Last Shark is,let me explain as clearly as I can...Watch Jaws 2 and you know what this story is....Just kidding!
The Last Shark is about a Shark that attacks Mike Patterson, the famous windsurfer of the town. When Mike disappears, Peter Benton and his Daughter go out to look for him. While Peter is looking, the local fisherman (Ron Hammer) find part of Mikes board in the water..Just let me get to the point...A Mayor dosent want to close the beach, the shark attacks the windsurfers, the mayor tries to kill it but gets his legs bit off, then Peter blows up the shark...I didnt sum up the whole movie but those are the highlights of the movie.
THE DVD
The DVD is GRRRREAT! The quality it excelent but the audio is not as good as Jappanese VHS's audio. The movie comes with some great bonus materials (No trailer to the movie though). The DVD includes, Lobby Card Pictures,Trailers to other rare 80's movies like Rats,Inglorious Bastards (Casterellis version),and some good flix.It also includes Biographies on Enzo Casterelli, Vic Morrow, and James Franciscus. The DVD also includes Sweedish,Danish, and 2 other subtitles I can remember.
THE MOVIE
While the DVD is Uncut, I do believe one or two scenes are missing due to rating issues. No big scenes are missing only maybe a shortned version of how the shark attacks someone, etc.
So if you love shark movies like I do,I recomend this movie to you. If you cant find it on Ebay,iOffer,or Amazon, you can find a copy with Jappanese Subs on Google Video.
Lets just hope you havent seen Cruel Jaws yet.......
